What I Can Do to Help You

User Research

Accurately understanding user needs and pain points is the foundation for every successful project. Using the latest qualitative and quantitative research methods, I can help uncover what your users really need.

Usability Testing

The only way to measure the success of a project is to consistently involve your users. Utilizing a variety of facilitated, remote, moderated, and/or unmoderated testing methods, I can discover task efficiency, effectiveness, and user satisfaction.

UX Design

While it's great to have a beautiful website, beauty alone won't help your users achieve their goals. I create low and high-fidelity wireframes and prototypes for no-frills, intuitive designs that work.

Frontend Development

Driven by a curiosity about how things work (and how they can be improved), I've been creating websites since 2004. I create clean code utilizing the latest HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

Performance Optimization

To keep up with the modern user, websites need to be fast and accessible. Using Google's Page Speed Insights Tool, Lighthouse, and Screaming Frog, I modify websites to render more efficiently without sacrificing design or functionality.

User Acceptance Testing

I have an exceptional eye for detail, which pairs well with user acceptance testing. I put in the time to understand your requirements and create appropriate test cases to make sure every project is error-free and completed to spec.

Hi, I'm Jenn. I'm a detail-oriented, conscientious, and inquisitive user experience (UX) professional and accessibility advocate who gets things done. While my primary focus is usability testing and user research, I also write frontend code.

I'm currently working as a UI / UX Developer for a nonprofit focused on advancing trust and transparency in the marketplace. I plan, execute, and synthesize findings from remote usability tests, optimize user experiences through targeted AB tests, and write/implement reusable code.

Previously, I was a Website Support Tech Lead, where I managed a modifications and quality assurance team for global franchise and multi-location businesses.

I have ten years of professional experience creating, supporting, and testing websites with cross-functional teams across a variety of platforms. If you count the hours spent crafting Neopets userlookups as a kid, I have at least 18 years of experience working with HTML and CSS.

For the last 13 years, I've volunteered with a local lutheran church to design, develop, maintain, and optimize their online web presence.

Outside of work, I'm a wife, vegetarian, and cat-enthusiast who knits, dabbles in photography, and plays a lot of Pokemon Go.
